MAN CAUGHT WITH 32 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA, GLOCK, AND $5,200 CASH

28-year-old Nashawn Belk was accused of having 32 pounds of marijuana in a backpack on East 36th Street Charlotte, NC. He was arrested on December 17, 2024. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Around midnight on December 17th a suspicious person call was made to 911 regarding a man dressed in black walking around the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Officers responded to the scene and located Nashawn carrying large brown bags. Nashawn is accused of fleeing from cops on foot. The suspect is accused of jumping a fence during the foot pursuit.

Another officer then cut the suspect off with a patrol vehicle. Nashawn was put in handcuffs.

Police say they found a glock gun on Nashawn along with 32 pounds of marijuana in vacuum sealed bags, and $5,250 in cash.

Nashawn was placed under arrest charged with trafficking marijuana, resist, delay or obstruct a public officer, and carrying a concealed gun.
