5 KILOS OF HEROIN SEIZED BY FEDERAL AGENTS, MAN PLEADS GUILTY

Date:

Francisco Hernandez, 24, Maury Gonzalez, 22, and Saul Rodriguez, 22, all got busted by federal agents in a undercover drug investigation, the bust yielded five kilograms (Bricks) of heroin.

Francisco was the first to crack as he pled guilty this month to drug trafficking and attempted trafficking in heroin by transportation.

Francisco was sentenced to 103-145 months in prison. The other suspects’ cases are pending.

In August 2017, special agents from the Department of Homeland Security, detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the Pineville Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arranged to purchase a large amount of heroin from Francisco in Pineville, NC.

After making contact with Francisco, undercover detectives told the suspects to deliver the heroin to a specific site.

But unbeknownst to the drug dealers, the site was under surveillance by federal authorities. Francisco, Maury, and Saul arrived at the pre-arranged location with the drugs in new model high-end vehicles. Federal agents wasted no time taking down all three suspects once they entered the site.

These arrests led to the seizure of more than 5 kilograms of heroin.
