$4 MILLION OF MARIJUANA FOUND IN WOODS SCATTERED IN TEXAS

More than $4 million worth of marijuana was seized in Laredo, Texas. 

The incident happened on the evening of August 27, 2020 when federal agents were patrolling near the Rio Grande riverbanks. Agents discovered several bundles of marijuana scattered in a grassy area near a warehouse property. A thorough search of the immediate area resulted in more bundles stacked around and inside a box trailer. 

A total of 245 bundles containing marijuana were seized. The bundles had an approximate weight of 5,350.39 pounds with an estimated street value of $4,280,312. The narcotics were subsequently turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration pending investigation. The trailer with narcotics in its cargo area was seized by the U.S. Border Patrol.
