Date:

A $25 million liquid methamphetamine bust hit the drug-smuggling community hard. On Nov. 18, 2020 the interception of liquid methamphetamine worth $25,000,000 was found concealed within a tractor/trailer in Pharr, Texas.

The drug seizure was at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge cargo facility. A tractor/trailer arriving from Mexico had a commercial shipment of corn husks. Officers conducted a secondary examination and utilized all available tools and resources which led to the discovery of liquid methamphetamine concealed within the tractor’s fuel tanks.

The extraction process yielded 1,255 pounds of the liquid methamphetamine, which was stored in 26 plastic buckets.

Border Protection agents seized the narcotics along with the conveyance.
