123 POUNDS OF FENTANYL LACED PILLS SEIZED DURING TRAFFIC STOP

On May 26, 2023 a overnight traffic stop in Illinois led to $1.5 million in laced fentanyl pills being seized.

The traffic stop occurred on Interstate 57. During a search of the vehicle, 60 kilos (123 pounds) of counterfeit drugs were found. The counterfeit drugs included 500,000 fake pills that were laced with fentanyl.

The street value of the drugs are worth $1.5 million. This is an ongoing investigation and no additional information is available.
