Steven Staples, 31, was arrested on September 30, 2020 charged with the Charlotte, NC murder of Anthony Leakes, 40. The victim was murdered on December 23, 2019 on Elliott Drive.
Homicide unit detectives with the assistance of The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) identified Steven as a suspect in this case. Steven, who is already in jail on pending charges has been served with additional warrants for murder and firearm by a felon.
