CHARLOTTE MECKLENBURG SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENT CLAYTON WILCOX GETS SUSPENDED

CMS suspends hundreds of students each year, now it is the superintendents turn to see how it feels.

It is confirmed that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education has suspended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent Clayton Wilcox.

The suspension goes into effect today and Dr. Wilcox will continue to receive his lucrative 6 figure salary while suspended.

During this time, Earnest Winston will serve as Acting Superintendent.

CMS says that it remains focused on the priorities that matter most which are students, teaching, and learning in every school as they look forward to the start of the 2019-2020 school year. CMS considers this a personnel matter and didn’t provide further details at this time.
