She was only 5 years old when she was killed in a west Charlotte shooting, still no arrests have been made
5-year-old Lyric Thomas was shot and killed on New Year’s Day 2023 January 1st. Lyric was shot on Moretz Ave. Charlotte, NC. A balloon release is now scheduled to honor the little girl’s life.
The balloon release is scheduled for January 6, 2022 at the 900 block of Moretz Avenue Charlotte, NC at 5:00 p.m.
Lyric was shot at 12:20 a.m. just after 2023 began at a residence. A family member found Lyric shot in a room. 911 was called and Lyric was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.
