Pastor Brenda Stevenson died on August 18, 2021. It is not yet known what caused her death. She was the senior pastor of the New Outreach Christian Center in Charlotte NC.
Pastor Brenda also operated her own food bank for needy people. She was a philanthropist and her ministry gave toys to kids during Christmas time.
During the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, Pastor Brenda was a seated delegate. Pastor Brenda ran for city council and county commission, but she lost.
Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles says that she grieves the death of Pastor Brenda. Charlotte Pastor Sylvia Morales, 54, was killed by a speeding driver in a head on collision on wet roads in 2018.
