Alphonso Platt, 62, was killed in a major car accident on September 1, 2021 on Beatties Ford Road Charlotte, NC. Ahmah Norris, 42, was charged in the crash.
The massive crash was at 10:55 p.m., a Toyota and a Cadillac vehicle were traveling on Beatties Ford Road. The two vehicles came into contact, likely at the sides, causing the Cadillac to run off the road to the right and collide with a tree. The Toyota overturned and ended up on its roof.
Some of the victims in the crash were not wearing their seatbelts.
The driver of the Cadillac identified as Ahmah and two of his passengers were all transported to Atrium Health Hospital with injuries. One of the passengers, identified as Alphonso was pronounced deceased at the hospital from injuries sustained during the crash.
The driver of the Toyota was transported to Atrium Health Hospital by medics with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ahmah is charged with DWI and no operator’s license.
