Sandra was driving a Volkswagen on Caldwell Road and eventually lost control at a high rate of speed. Sandra traveled off the roadway, she then over corrected and re-entered the roadway.
Sandra then crossed the center double yellow line and the Volkswagen struck the driver side of an Audi vehicle. Currently impairment is unknown, and a toxicology report is pending.
Sandra was found unresponsive inside the Volkswagen. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced Sandra deceased. The driver of the Audi was transported to Atrium Health Hospital with a minor injury.
