Bruno Velez Coba, 24, died during a Memorial Day weekend vehicular collision in Charlotte, NC. Bruno had 2 young kids. Ricky Dinkins, 31, was also killed in the crash. The wreck was on May 29, 2022. Bruno died on May 30, 2022.
The fatal motor vehicle collision was on May 29, 2022 on Freedom Drive. Many children were injured in the crash.
The Nissan entered the intersection of Freedom Drive and Toddville Road allegedly running a red light and colliding with a Cadillac Escalade driven by 40-year-old Michael Jordan.
Seven kids were in the Cadillac Escalade during the crash. The driver of the Cadillac and seven juvenile passengers were located on scene with serious injuries.
Upon medic’s arrival, the driver of the Nissan, Ricky was pronounced deceased due to injuries he sustained from the crash.
Bruno was a front seat passenger in the Nissan and was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Several of the juvenile passengers were not correctly restrained in the vehicle. Impairment is suspected to be the leading cause of this crash. Unfortunately, Bruno died at the hospital on May 30th.
