2 TEENAGE KIDS CHARGED WITH MURDERING GROWN MAN

Sharod Armstrong, 29, was shot and killed in a wild homicide on November 22, 2022 on South Tryon Street Charlotte, NC. Now 2 teenage children are charged with Sharod’s murder.

 Sharod was shot around 1 p.m. 911 was contacted and cops responded to a call for shots fired. Officers discovered Sharod on the ground dead. Sharod was officially pronounced deceased on scene.

On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, three suspects were arrested in Anderson, SC. The arrests were a collaborative effort between the Charlotte police homicide unit and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

Homicide detectives traveled to Anderson, SC, and interviewed the three suspects. At the conclusion of the interview, the three suspects remained in the custody of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. They are awaiting extradition to Mecklenburg County.

Detectives identified these three suspects in the murder of Sharod:

  • Male juvenile (charged with 1st degree murder)
  • Male juvenile (charged with 1st degree murder)
  • Kelvin Rodriquez Johnson, 41, (charged with Possession of Firearm by Felon & Accessory After the Fact Murder)

The teenage suspects can’t be named because of their ages.
