A homeless person was in a deep freeze and poorly clothed when they were found dead on I-77 winter wardrobe failed them big time
The cold weather in Charlotte, NC has killed a homeless person. Hence, a homeless person was found dead on Interstate 77 in Charlotte near Woodlawn Road on January 22, 2026.
Temperatures were in the 30’s when the victim was found dead near the wooded area of I-77. The death was discovered around 5 a.m. The victim was cold to the touch and had on little clothing.
The victim froze to death. A big winter freeze is expected to hit Charlotte with accumulating ice and sleet on Saturday.
