A father and Navy solider was killed while rescuing his 2 children from dangerous waters in Hawaii
Navy Master-at-Arms 1st Class Jeffrey Diaz, 47, died on November 22, 2025 after trying to save his kids from drowning at a ocean in Hawaii. Diaz was in the Navy and was a father of five kids. He was also married. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Diaz was stationed in Kauai, Hawaii at Hawaii’s Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands. His kids were out in the ocean playing. 2 of the kids became distressed, having trouble staying afloat, Diaz sprung into action swimming to rescue the kids.
Diaz pushed the kids on a boat. But Diaz however got tired fighting the heavy high waves and he drowned, sinking below the surface.
Eventually, first responders pulled Diaz out of the water and administered life saving measures. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
