Joshua Sams, 56, is accused of driving drunk. Mr. Sams was arrested on September 30, 2025 in Davidson, NC.

A police officer conducted a traffic stop on Mr. Sams in reference to no headlights. During the encounter the suspect is accused of having red glossy eyes, a strong odor of alcohol, and slurred speech.
When asked for identification, registration, and insurance, Mr. Sams was fumbling with documents. The suspect admitted to alcohol consumption.
Mr. Sams is accused of performing poorly on drunk field sobriety tests, had difficulty following instructions, and even swayed 1-2 inches during tests, according to official documents.
Open containers of alcohol were allegedly located in the vehicle Mr. Sams was driving. Mr. Sams was arrested charged with DWI.
