YOUNG MAN KILLED IN MOTORCYCLE CRASH, WAS HOPEWELL HIGH GRADUATE

Bryan Alexander Gonzales Barreras, 21, died on July 22, 2024 in a motorcycle crash on W.T. Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC.

The deadly wreck was at 8:45 p.m. A Honda SUV was making a left turn from W.T. Harris Boulevard onto the ramp to I-485 when the Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Bryan collided with the right rear panel of the Honda at a high rate of speed. 

Bryan was wearing a North Carolina Department of Transportation approved helmet. Bryan was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the hard hot asphalt. Several people in Charlotte have been killed on motorcycles.

Bryan was badly injured. The driver of the Honda and two passengers in the vehicle were not injured.

The motorcycle and the SUV had heavy damage. Paramedics transported Bryan to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

Bryan was a graduate of Hopewell High School, he was on the varsity wrestling team, track, and football teams.
