Byron Vasquez, 20, and Lety Vasquez, 35, were arrested on December 19 on charges that they raped a 14-year-old girl that was a family member.
Both were formally charged with rape and incest. It is not known how the Vasquezs’ are related to the victim.
The victim’s mother reported to authorities that her daughter had been sexually assaulted by the two suspects. Allegations detail that the victim was forcibly put into a bedroom where the suspects then forcibly made vaginal penetration against the victim’s will.
The rape was so brutal that the victim had to be hospitalized.
The crime occurred at apartments on Central Avenue.
