FEDS ARREST ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CAUGHT WITH COCAINE, PLEADS GUILTY

Cirilo Olvera-Yanez, 29, pled guilty to trafficking in cocaine by possession recently in Charlotte, NC.

Yanez is an illegal immigrant from Mexico; after he serves his prison sentence, he will be deported back to Mexico. Yanez was sentenced to 70-93 months in prison.

On November 8, 2017 the State Highway Patrol stopped a Ford F-250 for speeding and a lane violation on W.T. Harris in Mecklenburg County.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Cirilo Rene Olvera-Yanez pulled to the shoulder. During the course of the stop, authorities located several kilos of cocaine and a handgun.

A Department of Homeland Security Task Force was called in; agents seized the kilograms of cocaine. Yanez was arrested and charged with Felony Trafficking Cocaine by Transportation and Trafficking Cocaine by Possession, and Misdemeanor Possession of a Concealed Handgun.
