CHARLOTTE MEN CAUGHT WITH $200,000 IN MARIJUANA ON GEORGIA HIGHWAY

Date:

Three Charlotte men were arrested in Georgia and charged with trafficking marijuana on June 11, 2019.

Phetprasong Souriyo, 34, Brandy Souriyo, 28, and Somphone Thongkhamdy, 30, were arrested after a traffic stop by Georgia State Patrol and agents of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of marijuana along Interstate 85 from metro Atlanta north to neighboring states.

Earlier this year another Asian drug dealer was caught with $215,106 in cash, along with hundreds of kilograms ‘Bricks’ in marijuana.

Also, 30 kilograms of cocaine were taken from a multi-million dollar Mexican drug cartel that had stash houses in Charlotte.
