SEVERAL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS USED A STOLEN TRUCK AS TRANSPORTATION

U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended several illegal immigrants and recovered a stolen vehicle west of Encinal, Texas.

The incident occurred during the early morning hours of September 23, 2019 when agents observed a pickup truck inside a ranch near Highway 44. Agents found the pickup truck abandoned in an adjacent ranch and tracked foot prints leading to the apprehension of 12 individuals.

Record checks revealed the individuals to be illegally present in the United States from the countries of Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and China. All of the individuals were placed under arrest pending further investigation.

The vehicle was reported stolen from Bellview, Texas and was turned over to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.
