STASH HOUSE FOR UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS DISCOVERED IN TEXAS

Border Patrol and the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office discovered two stash houses operating in the Rio Grande Valley.

On September 18, 2019 agents received information regarding a residence in Mission, Texas operating as a stash house. Agents requested assistance from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office and, upon arrival, discovered seven illegal immigrants inside the residence.

Agents determined that the subjects are from the countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador and Mexico.

Two days later, the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Border Patrol and requested assistance in reference to a welfare check they had conducted in Mission, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies informed agents of the discovery of several subjects inside the residence.

Agents made contact with the nine subjects and determined them to be Chinese nationals illegally present in the United States. Border Patrol transported the subjects to the station for processing.
