MAN CONVICTED OF TRAFFICKING CRYSTAL METH AND HEROIN

On January 31, 2020 Otequise Miller, 34, was sentenced to 240 months in prison and five years of supervised release on a drug trafficking conspiracy resulting in an overdose death and money laundering charges.

From 2015 until August 2018, Otequise was part of a drug conspiracy that trafficked bulk crystal methamphetamine and heroin into Charlotte, NC.

During the relevant time period, Otequise trafficked approximately seven to nine kilograms of heroin, and 14 to 18 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.

In addition to drug trafficking, Otequise concealed and laundered the drug proceeds.

In December 2017, Otequise sold heroin to a victim which resulted in the victim’s overdose death. Otequise continued to sell narcotics even after he became aware of the victim’s death.

Otequise is a repeat offender, and was previously convicted of drug trafficking charges. Otequise was arrested on August 22, 2018.
