CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER ILLEGALLY ENTERS UNITED STATES

U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a previously convicted sex offender near Tucson, AZ on February 3, 2020.

Federal agents apprehended 28-year-old Juan Carlos Hernandez-Garcia after he illegally entered the United States. Records checks revealed Hernandez-Garcia, a citizen of Mexico, was convicted of sexual assault (victim 13-15 years old) in Passaic County, New Jersey, in 2011.

He was sentenced to three years imprisonment for the sexual assault.

Hernandez-Garcia will face federal prosecution for immigration violations.
