GEICO INSURANCE TO NOT TERMINATE POLICY DUE TO NON-PAYMENT UNTIL APRIL 30TH

Date:

The Coronavirus is annoying, after all schools are shutdown, the NBA is suspended, malls are shutdown, Disney World looks abandoned, many court cases are suspended, college basketball is suspended, restaurants are closed, clubs are closed, gyms are closed, churches are closed, and many other establishments are closed.

Even college graduations are cancelled.

But there are many benefits that the Coronavirus brings for struggling people that can’t work or are having a hard time with cash.

Geico insurance announced that they are pausing cancellation of coverage due to non-payment and policy expiration, effective immediately. This pause will remain in effect through April 30, 2020. Geico is also prepared to offer maximum flexibility, including special payment plans to those who need it once normal billing operations are scheduled to resume.

Geico says protecting the well-being of our employees, customers, and community has and will always be our top priority. Our team understands the concern and uncertainty caused by the Coronavirus. We’re here to help. While this situation hasn’t been easy on anyone, we remain committed to fulfilling our promise of serving you.

Geico wants to better assist those impacted by the Coronavirus crisis. Geico knows that the Coronavirus impacts everyone, and Geico wants their policyholders to have some peace of mind.

The tax deadline was even extended. Capital One and Duke Energy are allowing customers to skip payments without fear of late fees or disconnection during the Coronavirus state of emergency.
