On April 29, 2020 a deadly crash involving a tractor-trailer occurred on Interstate 485 in Charlotte, NC near Mount Holly Road. The crash caused I-485 to be shut down in both directions near the immediate area of the crash.
The crash involved a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was flown to a hospital with serious injuries after being pulled from one of the vehicles.
On April 28, 2020 2 people were killed in a dump truck collision.
