$2 MILLION WORTH OF COCAINE HIDDEN ON COMMERCIAL BUS

Officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted cocaine and methamphetamine worth $2,034,000 hidden on a commercial passenger bus in Hidalgo, Texas arriving from Mexico this past weekend.

On Aug. 7, 2020 officers encountered a commercial passenger bus arriving from Mexico at a port of entry. The officers discovered narcotics hidden within the bus. 56 packages of cocaine and 21 packages of methamphetamine were located.

The street value of the cocaine is $1,020,000 and $1,014,000 for the methamphetamine.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized the narcotics along with the bus and the case remains under investigation by Homeland Security Investigations.
