MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER DOUBLE SHOOTING AT MOTEL

25-year-old Dallas Dawkins was arrested on September 1, 2020 charged with the murder of Rafael Reyes on Nations Ford Rd Charlotte, NC. Rafael was shot and killed on August 18, 2020 around 3 a.m. at a motel. Another man was also shot, but survived.

The shooting stemmed from a fight between a group of people, shots were fired and Rafael was hit by a stray bullet at the motel. A second male victim was also shot. Officers responded to the sound of gunfire at the motel and located two men with gunshot wounds.

Rafael and the other victim were taken to the hospital, Rafael died. The second man suffered minor injuries. Dallas is charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and discharge weapon in occupied property.
