SUSPECT CHARGED IN HOMICIDE OF WOMAN SHOT DEAD IN CAR

Tommy Carter, 34, was arrested on September 13, 2020. Tommy is accused of murdering Beatrice Serrano, 32, on September 10, 2020 in a shooting on Denson Place Charlotte, NC.

Shortly after 4:00 am shots were fired and Beatrice was located in a car, deceased of a gunshot wound.

Tommy and a witness was in an altercation at an adjacent property. Tommy sustained minor injuries from the altercation and was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Preliminary information and evidence gathered indicates that the deceased victim and the suspect had a previous relationship.

Tommy was treated at the hospital for injuries he sustained during the incident. Upon his release from the hospital, Tommy was charged with murder and discharging a firearm into occupied property.
