ICE REMOVES 2 UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS WANTED IN THEIR HOME COUNTRY

Date:

Officers with ICE removed two previously deported Salvadoran men on September 28, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. The men were wanted for crimes committed in El Salvador.

Jose Alexander Ramos-Martinez, 42, and Noe Rodriguez-Sanchez, 51, were deported without incident by ICE via an ICE Air Operations charter flight. Once in El Salvador, ICE turned them over to law enforcement authorities.

A repeat immigration violator, Ramos-Martinez has been charged multiple times with illegal re-entry and removed from the U.S. four times since 2013. He has convictions for misdemeanor assault and was twice convicted for driving while intoxicated (DWI). Ramos-Martinez is wanted by law enforcement authorities in El Salvador for sex crimes against a minor.

Rodriguez-Sanchez illegally entered the U.S. on 3 separate occasions. ICE removed him to El Salvador pursuant to an immigration judge order in July 2007. He was convicted in August of illegally re-entry and released to ICE upon time served. He is the subject of a 2019 arrest warrant in El Salvador for illegal human trafficking.

Since Oct. 1, 2009, ICE has removed more than 3,700 foreign fugitives from the United States who were sought in their native countries for serious crimes, including kidnapping, rape and murder. In fiscal year 2019, ICE removed or returned 267,000 illegal immigrants.
