WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER MAN KILLED IN WRECK

Date:

Yesica Jimenez-Broncano, 25, was arrested on October 7, 2020 charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle after Timothy Stancil, 53, was killed in a vehicular collision where Yesica allegedly ran a red light.

The wreck was on September 30, 2020 on Wilkinson Boulevard Charlotte, NC. Timothy was driving a Ford F-350 and had a solid green light as he was making a left turn. At the same time, Yesica was driving a Chevrolet and ran a solid red light at the intersection, hence striking the Ford truck, officials say.

The collision that occurred caused Timothy and the front passenger of the Ford to be ejected from the truck.

Timothy was transported to Atrium Health hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. Three passengers in the Ford and one passenger in the Chevrolet were also transported to Atrium Health with apparent injuries.

Yesica remained on the scene of the crash.

On October 7, 2020, a warrant for misdemeanor death by motor vehicle was issued for the arrest of Yesica and she was also issued a citation for failing to stop at a red light. Impairment does not appear to be a factor in this crash.
