On Feb. 11, 2021, a 29-year-old male U.S. citizen was arrested after federal agents detected $365,000 worth of methamphetamine concealed within the vehicle he was driving.
The drug bust was in Hildalgo, Texas at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge. The suspect was driving a Chevy Malibu when he approached the bridge check point. Utilizing all available tools and resources, officers conducted a secondary examination of the suspect’s vehicle and discovered eight packages of methamphetamine weighing 18.25 pounds hidden within the vehicle.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized the narcotics, the vehicle, and arrested the driver who was then turned over to the custody of agents with Homeland Security Investigations for further investigation.
