On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Catawba, N.C. Drugs, money, and guns were found. A Glock gun disguised as a toy Nerf gun was found and Damien Alonzo Burch, 35, was arrested.
Investigators searched the residence after gathering evidence of narcotics possession.
During the search quantities of cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, and marijuana were found. $2,300 in United States Currency were seized along with 20 guns consisting of pistols, rifles and shotguns. One of these weapons, a converted Glock model 19 pistol with a fifty round drum magazine had been altered to resemble a toy Nerf gun.
Damien was charged with felonious possession of cocaine, felonious possession of mushrooms, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
