She was serving a prison sentence from her home, but still escaped– violating her sentence terms. Who does that?!
41-year-old Wendy George is wanted by The Division of Adult Correction after she left the compounds of her home during her active prison sentence. Wendy was in a special program that allowed her to serve her prison sentence from home, called the Extending the Limits of Confinement initiative. Wendy escaped from the home on March 19, 2021 in Asheville, NC.
Wendy stands 5 feet 1 inch tall and has black hair with green eyes. Wendy has tattoos on her left foot and right arm. Wendy was serving active sentences for five counts of obtaining property by false pretense, felony violation social services, and access computer to defraud.
The suspect had a projected release date of October 12, 2021.
Probation and parole officers from the Department of Community Corrections are currently searching for Wendy. An escape warrant has been requested from a judge.
