SUSPECT ARRESTED FROM HOMICIDE THAT HAPPENED IN 2004

Date:

On April 1, 2021, Joshua Withers, 38, was arrested and charged with a homicide from 2004 in Charlotte, NC.

After a few years into the investigation of a 2004 homicide, all leads were exhausted, and the case went cold. Nearly 15 years later, new information surfaced, and homicide cold case detectives charged Withers with murder.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m. on November 15, 2004, officers responded to reports of a shooting on Reddman Road Charlotte, NC. Officers arrived and located then-32-year-old Marcus Lofewia Fed, who was injured from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics pronounced Marcus deceased on scene. Homicide detectives diligently followed every lead; however, the case became cold.

In 2020, new information surfaced, and detectives were able to identify Withers as a suspect. Warrants were issued for Withers’s arrest, and on April 1, 2021 he was arrested and charged with murder.
