On April 13, 2021 one person was severely injured in a shooting on Hovis Rd. in Charlotte, NC. The shooting was near a residence, one shot was fired that hit a victim.
The victim was transported to the hospital by emergency responders, and is in critical condition. An active investigation is underway. West Charlotte has seen a massive spike in shootings over the last 17 days.

On March 30, 2021 two other juvenile victims were shot on Hovis Road.
