John Holaday, 74, was pronounced deceased on October 5 , 2019 at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center, emergency officials say. Raheem Shacklette, 16, is charged with John’s murder. John is the CEO of Dispose RX, a drug disposal company.
John was shot in uptown Charlotte, NC on South College Street on September 30, 2019 in the late afternoon. After spending days in the hospital fighting for his life, John succumbed to his injuries days later.
A disturbance between several people broke out on South College St. near the Epi-Center party district, a gun was fired and Mr. Holaday was hit, although he was not the intended target. Raheem was arrested following the shooting, he is now charged with murder.
