On Memorial Day 2019 officers responded to the pool at The Flats at Mallard Creek apartment complex located on Education Way Charlotte, NC after receiving numerous 911 calls of shots being fired.
A male victim was shot while at the pool and was already being transported to the hospital by friends/associates prior to emergency personnel arriving. He has serious, possibly life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made yet.
Separately, a woman was killed during Memorial Day weekend 2019 in Charlotte.
