A female Amazon employee was stabbed inside an Amazon distribution center in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday night, 1/30/2019.
The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. at the Amazon CLT2 facility on Old Dowd Road.
A man stabbed a woman several times in the building. The victim was bleeding profusely and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male suspect was arrested.
The victim and the suspect knew each other. But there is no word on whether the suspect was an employee at Amazon.
Amazon however did release this statement:
“The safety of our employees is our top priority. Amazon has a zero-tolerance policy for violence in the workplace and our thoughts are with our employee who was injured in this incident. Amazon employees, contractors, visitors and vendors are prohibited, at all times, from possessing any weapon or item deemed to cause harm. We are working with local authorities to support their investigation.”
